Elder Abuse Screening...

Senior citizens and at-risk persons can be the targets of unscrupulous and illegal practices. Each time victimization occurs, there are usually warning signs and ways to prevent it. However, such prevention requires self-awareness, the awareness of family or friends, and prior planning.

The short quizzes, one for individuals, the other for "concerned others," found at the right of your screen, may help determine an elder person's vulnerability to abuse.

Take quiz #1 and ask others you care about, or who care about you, to take quiz #2. Then, if it appears that vulnerability is high, make plans to reduce the opportunity for problems. There are resources available to prevent financial and other abuse!
